Summary:  The Preserves have utilized Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation for assistance with capturing, collecting data, monitoring and analyzing wildlife activity since 2008. This work assists the Preserves with tracking wildlife disease transmittance between various wildlife populations and human populations. Information gathered through this work is shared throughout the health services community both locally and nationally, including but not limited to the Cook County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation is considered a sole source vendor due to their unique expertise in wildlife research, local officing, access to regionally and nationally prominent biologists, as well as the length of their longstanding partnership with the Preserves on various research projects. The Preserves entered into the existing Board approved agreement with Max McGraw in 2014 for a period of four (4) years, and are requesting an extension for an additional five (5) years. end
