Goods or Services: The proposed amendment increases from fifteen (15) to thirty (30) the number of parking spaces available for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Preserves”) at the Village of Oak Park’s Lot Number 18, for the purpose of parking Preserves’ motor pool passenger vehicles. In exchange for the fifteen (15) additional parking spaces at Lot Number 18, the Preserves will provide an additional 2 acres of storage area for the Village’s Public Works Department at a Maintenance Facility of the Preserves.

Summary: In 2014, the Village of Oak Park (the “Village”) and the Preserves entered into an Intergovernmental License Agreement whereby the Village licensed to the Preserves the use of fifteen (15) parking spaces in Lot Number 18 (commonly known as the Holley Court Parking Garage) and the Preserves’ granted the Village a license to construct, operate, and maintain a salt storage shelter at a Maintenance Facility of the Preserves. In exchange for the fifteen (15) additional parking spaces at Lot Number 18, the Preserves will provide an additional 2 acres of storage area for the Village’s Public Works Department.
