Summary:  Contract #17-31-101 consists of aquatic herbicide treatments in order to control invasive and nuisance aquatic vegetation at the Forest Preserves of Cook County’s 40+ recreational lakes. These services will supplement treatments currently performed by the Preserves annually in order to meet the aesthetic and recreational needs of the public.

The Preserves issued a Request for Proposals for the aforementioned services. Due to a lack of responses, the contract was subsequently rebid in order to expand the list of qualified respondents. The Preserves then assembled a review panel comprised of various Forest Preserve staff, which determined Clarke Aquatic Services’ proposal to be responsible and responsive, with particular strengths in experience, proposed approach, and capacity to perform all aspects of the work. Clarke was the sole respondent.
