PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Request: requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "Preserves") to enter into a Partnership Agreement with The Nature Conservancy, Chicago, Illinois.
Reason: The Nature Conservancy has obtained a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through the Sustain Our Great Lakes Grant Program and wishes to contribute approximately $50,000 to the Preserves to support ecological restoration activities at Powderhorn Prairie and Marsh Nature Preserve. Work performed will consist of 40 acres of herbaceous invasive species control, and selective shrub removal and thinning across the site. The Preserves desire to grant The Nature Conservancy access to the property in order to complete the project, which will be conducted at no cost to the Preserves.
Contract period: 1/17/2017 - 10/31/2018
