The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (“MWRD”) has been designated by the State of Illinois as the stormwater regulatory agency for Cook County. The work conducted through the Small Stream Maintenance Program improves water flow and mitigates stormwater-related issues throughout the Preserves and its neighboring communities. A Right of Entry was previously granted to the MWRD in September 2006, and renewed in January 2012.
