PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Request: requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the “Preserves”) to enter into a Partnership Agreement with L.L. BEAN, INC. (“L.L. BEAN”), Freeport, Maine.
Reason: The Permits, Rentals and Concessions Department seeks to enter into an agreement with L.L. BEAN to provide outdoor recreation and nature-based activities including hiking, biking, camping, archery, and snowshoeing and to serve as a partner on District-hosted events. In lieu of permit fees, L.L. BEAN will compensate the Preserves with 20% of all registration fees collected from their participants for all courses conducted in the Preserves. Participants of L.L. BEAN courses will also receive extensive environmental education to promote awareness of the Preserves and their positive impact on communities and quality of life.
Contract period: 1/1/2017 - 1/1/2020 including two (2) one (1) year extension options
Fiscal Impact: $18,000.00, Revenue Generating
