PROPOSED RESOLUTION
TO AUTHORIZE THE FOREST PRESERVES TO OFFER CERTIFICATES FOR CERTAIN EXPERIENCES
WHEREAS, from time to time, the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the "Preserves") would like to offer complimentary recreational and educational experiences within the Preserves to the following: (1) individuals or organizations that will promote, advertise, or market the Preserve; (2) non-profit organizations which serve Cook County residents; and/or (3) individuals or organizations otherwise approved by the General Superintendent to receive such complimentary certificates, (collectively Proposed Complimentary Certificate Recipients); and
WHEREAS, such complimentary experiences may include, without limitation, the following: Aquatic Center Family Admission, Camping, Camp and Climb Events, Picnics, Naturalist Walk, Night Naturalist Walk, Treetop Adventure Course -Family Pack, Golf on Forest Preserve Course (Foursome), and/or 2 Hour Boat Rental; and
WHEREAS, the total value of the complimentary certificates for recreational and educational experiences that the Preserves would like to offer shall not exceed $10,000 on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, such certificates shall be subject to restrictions on use as designated by the Preserves, and all applicable provisions of the Preserves' Code of Ordinances; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserves of Cook County hereby authorizes the Preserves to offer complimentary certificates for certain recreational and educational experiences in the Preserves to Proposed Complimentary Certificate Recipients, provided, however, that the total value of such certificates shall not exceed $10,000 on an annual basis.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all policies, resolutions, and ordinances of the Forest Preserves of Cook County that conflict with this Resolution, shall be considered to be in full force in effect except to the extent that they conf...
