Request: This is a request to enter into a contract with Stertil-Koni USA, Inc. (“Stertil”), pursuant to Section 1-8-2(AA) of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s Code of Ordinances, based on pricing terms and conditions established by the National Joint Powers Alliance (the “NJPA”), for Heavy Duty Lifts and Accessories. The NJPA is a national public service agency that leverages the purchasing power of more than 50,000 members. Stertil was selected as a vendor by the NJPA through a competitively solicited Request for Proposals process in June 2015.

Summary: The Fleet Maintenance Department is requesting to purchase Heavy Duty Lifts and Accessories. The request is to purchase:
• Two (2) sets (4 columns each set) Mobile Column Lifts
• Six (6) Heavy Duty Twin Post Hydraulic Lifts
• One (1) Heavy Duty Four Post Hydraulic Ramp Lift
• Eight (8) Mobile Jack Stands
• Two (2) Air Hydraulic Tire Dolly
• One (1) Air/Hydraulic Transmission Jack
• One (1) Scissor Lifting Table
These new heavy duty lifts and accessories will improve Fleet Maintenance service operations for Districtwide equipment and vehicles. The high bay addition was recently built for Fleet Maintenance to accommodate the larger equipment Districtwide.
