Summary: Job 16-80-09 includes professional services to provide architectural and engineering services to perform inspections, prepare final engineering plans and specifications, acquire necessary permits, bidding assistance, and construction inspection for the repairs to dams at nine (9) lakes. Phase I work includes full scope of services for structures at Tampier Lake and inspection and prioritization for the remaining lakes: Axehead, Baker, Beck, Bode, Bullfrog, Horsetail, Ida and Turtlehead. Phase II services for the remaining lakes would begin in 2018 subject to appropriation of funding.
The Forest Preserve District received seven (7) proposals for the project. Hey and Associates was determined to have submitted the most responsive and responsible proposal, particularly related to their relevant experience, effective utilization of subcontractors and capacity to do the work.
