Request:  Authorization for the Forest Preserves District of Cook County (the “Preserves”) to enter into a contract with Matthew Paving, Inc., Chicago, Illinois for various trail crossings improvements on the Salt Creek Bicycle Trail, North Branch Bicycle Trail, and Tinley Creek Bicycle Trail.

 

Reason:   Contract 13-80-02-14C1, Trail Crossings Improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to, various trail crossings improvements at three highest priority crossings at Glenview Road and Harms Road on the North Branch Bicycle Trail, and at 31st Street & Edgewood Ave and LaGrange Road & Cermak Road on the Salt Creek Bicycle Trail, as well as signage and pavement markings improvements on the Tinley Creek Bicycle Trail.
