PROPOSED AGREEMENT
Vendor: Glen Grove Equestrian Sports Inc., Morton Grove, Illinois
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (“the Preserves”) to enter into an agreement
Reason: The selected vendor, Glen Grove Equestrian Sports Inc., was deemed the most responsive and responsible of two (2) respondents to operate the Preserves’ equestrian facility in Morton Grove, which includes offering horse boarding, riding lessons, and other equestrian services to the public. Glen Grove Equestrian Sports Inc. has operated the stable since 1995 and presented the strongest financial package and management plan for the coming term. An independent third-party evaluation conducted in December provided a positive assessment of the horseback riding instruction program, working staff, record keeping system, horse management, stable maintenance, and other aspects of the business operations.
Glen Grove Equestrian Sports Inc. has agreed to pay the Preserves the following annual fee per year in addition to 5% of gross lesson and gift shop sales:
Year 1: $168,000.00
Year 2: $168,000.00
Year 3: $168,000.00
Year 4: $180,000.00
Contract period: 48 months from the issuance of the Purchase Order
Estimated Fiscal Impact: Revenue Generating, $684,000.00 + 5% of gross lesson and gift shop sales
