Summary:  Work is substantially complete except for punch list and closeout, but additional funds were needed to compensate the consultant for redesign work performed due to unforeseen conditions (change in ComEd electrical transformer) and review of contractor structural issues relating to concrete work, and other more minor changes during construction.  Negotiation with the Consultant on the value of the additional services was not finalized at the time the contract period was extended in November 2015.  

 

 

Additional services were previously approved in 2014 to address an increase scope of construction relating to green building certification.
