Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING THE EFFORTS OF FOUR COOK COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE EMPLOYEES, ANDRES BADILLO, FRANK RAYMOND, JEFF SCHERER AND ALVIN JOSEPH FOR THEIR COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION TO THE LIFE OF PAUL SCHNEIDER WHEREAS, in the midst of dire emergency, a 911 emergency dispatch was called by Cook County Forest Preserve District employee Alvin Joseph, urging responders to immediately act; and WHEREAS, Alvin Joseph waited for and directed the paramedics to the house of Helen Schneider, where Paul Schneider was visiting his mother when he lost consciousness; and WHEREAS, in the spirit of compassion, the other three Cook County Forest Preserve employees, Andres Badillo, Frank Raymond, Jeff Scherer immediately began performing CPR, forcing air into Paul's lungs and performing chest compressions until the ambulance arrived; and WHEREAS, these four gentlemen who were willing to get involved when an emergency arose during their work day, should be honored for going above ...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

 HONORING THE EFFORTS OF FOUR COOK COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE EMPLOYEES, ANDRES BADILLO, FRANK RAYMOND, JEFF SCHERER AND ALVIN JOSEPH FOR THEIR COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION TO THE LIFE OF PAUL SCHNEIDER

 

 WHEREAS, in the midst of dire emergency, a 911 emergency dispatch was called by Cook County Forest Preserve District employee Alvin Joseph, urging responders to immediately act; and

 

WHEREAS, Alvin Joseph waited for and directed the paramedics to the house of Helen Schneider, where Paul Schneider was visiting his mother when he lost consciousness; and

 

WHEREAS, in the spirit of compassion, the other three Cook County Forest Preserve employees, Andres Badillo, Frank Raymond, Jeff Scherer  immediately began  performing CPR, forcing air into Paul’s lungs and performing chest compressions until the ambulance arrived; and

 

WHEREAS, these four gentlemen who were willing to get involved when an emergency arose during their work day, should be honored for going above and beyond their job  requirements; and

 

WHEREAS, Andres Badillo, Frank Raymond, Jeff Scherer and Alvin Joseph deserve recognition for their compassion and prompt response, serving as a shining example and raising the bar of dedicated commitment to volunteer during an emergency; and

 

WHEREAS, unfortunately their efforts were unsuccessful and they were unable to revive Paul, Commissioner Tim Schneider and his family will be forever grateful for their efforts; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Forest Preserve Commissioners recognizes and commends the exemplary effort of Andres Badillo, Frank Raymond, Jeff Scherer and Alvin Joseph, and extends its sincerest appreciation for their gallant efforts and their immediate action on that day.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of the Resolution be prepared and tendered over to Andres Badillo, Frank Raymond, Jeff Scherer and Alvin Joseph.
