Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County to extend a previously executed contract
Good(s) or Service(s): Construction services for the new Rolling Knolls Visitor Center including demolishing a portion of the existing clubhouse that is no longer usable, remodeling the remaining portion of the clubhouse, building an addition and reconstructing the existing parking area. The project includes the construction of a new meeting room, multipurpose room, new ADA toilet facilities, a small staff office area and improved site drainage for the parking area and around the building. This facility also includes the use of geo-thermal heating system and photovoltaic panels. .
Original Contract Period: Three hundred (300) calendar days from Notice To Proceed (10/28/2014 - 8/24/2015)
Administrative Extension: Sixty (60) calendar day extension days granted by the Purchasing Agent (8/25/15 - 10/23/2015).
Proposed Contract Period Extension: Two hundred seventy (270) day extension (10/24/2015 - 7/19/2016)
