Join the Illinois Orchid society at its spring show and sale, in which individual orchids in 128 classes will vie for ribbons. Free.

Celebrate Pi Day with a look at how mathematics and the natural world are intertwined.

Third Thursdays: A Taste of Maple Syrup Fest, Cummings Square, River Forest
Join us to celebrate the start of spring! Learn how real maple syrup is made, and enjoy lunch from food trucks with maple syrup-focused menus. All ages.

Experienced paddlers, bring your canoe or kayak and celebrate the legacy of canoe legend Ralph Frese. Paddle the Chicago River from Willow Road Dam to Linne Woods in Morton Grove. Observe our wildflowers while hiking through the woods. Many of these low-growing beauties will only bloom for a couple of days.

Fabulous Frogs, Trailside Museum, River Forest
Learn about the life cycle, ecology, and identification of native frogs, then visit our pond to look for frogs. Adults and children ages 8 and up. Register by 4/10.
