PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Request: requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "Preserves") to enter into a Partnership Agreement with the Forest Preserve Foundation (the "Foundation").
Reason: The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds to support Preserve programs and the protection and restoration of native habitats within the Preserves. The foundation's work encourages philanthropic and business entities to make financial contributions toward Preserve priorities that may not otherwise have been available. The Preserves recognizes the benefits that an established Foundation can provide, and has determined that the entering into a partnership agreement for the appropriation of funds and other in-kind contributions, such as office space and services are necessary, essential and appropriate to further the Foundation's mission.
Contract period: 1/1/2015 - 12/31/2019
Fiscal Impact: Funding up to $150,000.00/annually, plus in-kind contributions up to $25,000/annually
