Summary:  The district assembled a review panel which consisted of various district staff from Resource Management and Planning & Development.  Proposers were evaluated on their experience and expertise with similar projects, proposed approach, and capacity to perform all aspects of work. The District received four (4) proposals for the project.  Tallgrass Restoration and their team including Semper Fi Yard Service and Kelly & Son Forestry was determined to have submitted the most responsive and responsible proposal for the project
 
Funding for this project is through a mitigation account from the Illinois Tollway specifically for this project which was designed in combination with the US Fish & Wildlife department.
