Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "Preserves") to enter into a contract with Vega Tree Service, Northlake, Illinois
Reason: Contract number 14-31-111 consist of the removal, topping or pruning of eight hundred and forty seven (847) trees, which includes forty three (43) that require stumping and twenty four (24) additional stumps (due mostly to impacts from the Emerald Ash Borer), in accordance with the Preserves' specifications in Region 9, Calumet Division. Vega Tree Service, Northlake, Illinois, was the lowest responsive and responsible of the two (2) bidders.
