Title: PROPOSED AGREEMENT Vendor: Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority ("Metra") Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County ("the Preserves") to enter into an easement agreement Reason: The Forest Preserve would like to construct and maintain a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over the Metra railroad, near Forest Glen Woods in the City of Chicago tracks near MP 11.0, between Devon and Foster Avenues, on Metra's Milwaukee North Line. The Forest Preserve has been working to extend the North Branch Bicycle Trail south approximately four miles, to connect to the City of Chicago's Bike Trail System. The North Branch Bicycle Trail is 18 miles in length, the Preserve's longest linear trail system, and one of the District's most used bicycle trails.
