Summary: The Department of Facilities and Fleet received permission from the Vehicle Steering Committee on 11/20/2023 to decommission twenty-eight (28) Forest Preserves vehicles due to age, high mileage, and condition and purchase twenty-eight (28) new hybrid vehicles. Fourteen (14) of these units are for the Law Enforcement Department. Five (5) of these units are for the Facilities and Fleet Department. Five (5) of these units are for the Resource Management Department. Two (2) of these units are for the Department of Conservation and Experiential Programming. Two (2) of these units are for the Department of Planning and Development.
