PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Request: requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "Preserves") to enter into a contract with Old Veterans Construction., Chicago, Illinois.
Reason: Contract 13-80-03-004-C is for the Camp Reinberg Development. The proposed project is the redevelopment and new construction of the existing Camp Reinberg. Work includes, but is not limited to, the renovation of the existing dining hall, construction of new small cabins, new 2 bedroom cabins, development of tent sites, new toilet/shower building, new picnic/program shelter, storage building, landscaping, development of trails/paths, site furnishings, utilities, site development, parking, signage and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications.

Estimated Fiscal Impact: $3,920,843.76
Contract Period: Nine (9) months from notice to proceed.
