PROPOSED RESOLUTION
APPROVAL OF SALARY ADJUSTMENTS FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners passed resolutions to approve salary schedule, wage adjustments and healthcare plan revisions for non-union employees during Fiscal Years (FY) 2021 – 2025 on June 14, 2022 (Board Item No. 22-0132) and September 19, 2024 (Board Item No. 24-0335); and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer, Comptroller and Interim Director of Human Resources recommend the one-time payment and salary adjustments below to the previously approved salary adjustments and general wage increases approved for non-union employees on June 14, 2022 (Board Item No. 22-0132) and September 19, 2024 (Board Item No. 24-0335); and
Effective upon board approval, a $2,500 one-time payment to be paid to full-time non-union employees in active status on December 31, 2025 on payroll closest to forty-five (45) days after approval by Board, provided, however, the following employees shall be excluded from such payment: (1) seasonal employees, (2) employees with a current annual salary of $200,000 or greater, and (3) employees not also in active status as of the date this resolution is approved by the Board; and
Effective upon board approval, a $1,250 one-time payment to be paid to part-time non-union employees in active status on December 31, 2025 on payroll closest to forty-five (45) days after approval by Board, provided, however, the following employees shall be excluded from such payment: (1) seasonal employees, and (2) employees not also in active status as of the date this resolution is approved by the Board; and
Effective the first full pay period on or after January 1, 2026, the pay rates for non-union employees shall be increased 2% for all classifications, except that seasonal employees shall not be entitled to retroactive pay; and
