Request: Authorization to amend the previous board approval to update fiscal impact and summary. On July 1, 2025, the Board of Commissioners previously approved the award of a contract for Phase III construction engineering services but the contract was never executed due to delays in bidding of the project by the Illinois Department of Transportation ("IDOT"). The vendor has submitted an updated cost proposal in anticipation of an IDOT construction bid posting in the near future. Forest Preserve staff are also seeking authorization for a modest contingency in the event of further prolonged delay in construction bidding.
