Summary: The Forest Preserves of Cook County would like to extend and increase its contract with Lakeshore Recycling Systems which provides Refuse and Recycling Disposal Sites for Region 2 by exercising the two (2) one-year extension options as provided in the original bid and initial Board Item (see Board Item No. 21-0325). The Forest Preserves intends to end this extension in February 2026 to coincide with a new request for proposals on waste contracts. Region 2 consists of the Salt Creek and Indian Boundary Divisions.
