BE IT ORDAINED, by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Title 1 - Administrative, Chapter 5 -FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RULES OF ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURE, Section 1-5-4- PARLIAMENTARY RULES, Subsection 4-7 - ORDER OF BUSINESS of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Code of Ordinances is hereby amended as follows:

4-7. Order of Business.

(a) At each regular meeting of the Board, the order of business (unless otherwise directed by the Board) is as follows:

1.Consent Calendar.

2.Public Testimony.

3.Committee Items Requiring Action.

4.New Business.

(b) All questions relating to the priority of business shall be decided by the Chair, without debate, subject to appeal.

(c) Meetings of the Board may commence with a prayer or invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance.

(d) In addition to commencement activities referenced in Section (c) above, meetings of the Board may commence with a Land Acknowledgement Statement.

 

(e) (d)The Board shall break for lunch from Noon to 12:45 p.m. or as soon as is practical thereafter on days of the Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Committees, and Subcommittees.

                     

                     Effective date:  This ordinance shall be in effect immediately
