PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Request: requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "Preserves") to enter into a contract with Burling Builders, Inc., Chicago, Illinois.
Reason: Contract 13-80-03-002-C is for the Camp Shabbona Development. The proposed project is for the development of a new campground including, but not limited to, small cabins, tent sites, a toilet/shower building, picnic/program shelter, gatehouse, landscaping, trails/paths, site furnishings, utilities, site development, signage and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications.

* Old Veterans Construction bid was read into the record as $2,814,729.95, but after further examination, Old Veterans Construction made a mathematical error in their calculations. Their actual bid is $2,880,270.60.
**The Bowa Group, Inc. bid was read into the record as $3,134,574.00, but after further examination, The Bowa Group, Inc. made a mathematical error in their calculations. Their actual bid is $2,501,670.00.
Estimated Fiscal Impact: $2,161,000.00
