Request: The Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) is requesting permission to enter into an intergovernmental agreement to transfer ownership of a police vehicle to Forest View Police Department.
Goods or Services: The Forest Preserves will donate one (1) Ford Escape police vehicle to the Forest View Police Department.

Agreement Period: Agreement will begin when Forest View Police Department takes possession of the vehicle. This is a one-time agreement.

Summary: The Forest Preserves recently received a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (“DHSEM”) for the purchase of a new police vehicle. With the acquisition of a new vehicle. DHSEM, acting as intermediary, has requested assistance from the Forest Preserves in providing the Forest View Police Department with a used police vehicle in conjunction with the Forest Preserves receiving the new vehicle. In the spirit of intergovernmental cooperation, the Forest Preserves seeks permission to donate its one (1) used Ford Escape valued at $4,500.00 to the Forest View Police Department.
