Title: PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT WATER CONTAINERS BE IT ORDAINED, by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Title 1 - Administrative, Chapter 12 - Bottled Water Ban of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed in its entirety and the following code provision is substituted in its place: 1-12-1: - BOTTLED WATER BAN. No Forest Preserve District department shall purchase single-serving bottles of water using District funds. This prohibition shall not apply in the following instances: 1. Supplemental bottled water purchased for the health and safety of District patrons and/or employees; and 2. Water in containers made from plant-based materials or recyclable aluminum cans. Effective date: This ordinance shall be in effect on January 1, 2024.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Title 1 - Administrative, Chapter 12 - Bottled Water Ban of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed in its entirety and the following code provision is substituted in its place:

 

1-12-1: - BOTTLED WATER BAN.

No Forest Preserve District department shall purchase single-serving bottles of water using District funds. This prohibition shall not apply in the following instances:
