PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Pan-Oceanic Engineering Co., Inc., primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for the Paul Douglas Forest Preserve Paved Trail Drainage Improvements Project, in Hoffman Estates.
Reason: Contract #74000008003 issued under Project #18-80-62C and 20-FPDCC-00PV-20C3 Paul Douglas Forest Preserve Paved Trail Drainage Improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to, construction of paved trail drainage improvements, including earthwork, asphalt patching, storm sewers, soil erosion / sediment control and landscaping, construction layout, traffic control and protection, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. Work would be funded by Motor Fuel Tax funds through an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Cook County Department of Transportation & Highways.
