PROPOSED LICENSE RENEWAL REQUEST
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”), as Licensor to renew a License to the Nature Exploration Academy (NEA), Grantee, for use of a large bunkhouse at Camp Sullivan during off-peak times, specifically Monday - Friday, during the months of August through May. The renewal represents an extension of the Right of Entry Agreement at the same location approved by the Board on 9/12/2017. NEA, a non-profit, used the bunkhouse at Camp Sullivan during the 2017-2018 school year for their nine (9) student classroom. Both NEA and the Forest Preserves agreed that the partnership was positive for both parties.
Term: Originally, 9/13/2017 - 5/25/2018. Proposing three (3) year extension, with the option for the General Superintendent to approve two (2), one-year renewals.
License Fee: At least $6,700.00 annually (about 75% discount off of the standard rate for campgrounds); revenues will increase if anticipated fee increase for usage of the campgrounds is approved.
