Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County to enter into a construction contract with Fabex Technologies, LLC, primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for shelter repairs at Yankee Woods (grove 2), Dan Ryan Woods (groves 1, 5, 10 & 15), Flatfoot Lake, Jurgensen Woods (grove 1), Bremen Grove #1, Eggers Grove #3, and Glenwood Woods North (grove 1).
Reason: Contract #74000010979 issued under Project #24-80-26 for 2024 Picnic Shelter Repairs at South Cook County Locations. The work addresses the renovation of ten (10) existing picnic shelters. The work includes, but is not limited to, lead-based paint removal, concrete ceiling panel patching, concrete ceiling panel replacement, roof removal and replacement, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
