Summary: Cook County (the "County") has handled Administrative Hearings for Forest Preserves ordinance citations pursuant to an IGA since March 3, 2010. Currently, the County is responsible for collecting post-adjudication fines and related costs on behalf of the Forest Preserves. The Forest Preserves would like to expand the services provided by the County to include the collection of pre-adjudication fines and related costs. The current IGA authorizes collection and audit costs but does not establish a set administration fee rate. This Amendment will establish a rate of 10%, an increase from the 5% currently charged.
