Summary: A contract extension is required because testing has been completed but construction oversight is still needed for many of these structures. Testing for additional buildings may also be needed in 2015.
Contract 13-80-52 was set up to test buildings, throughout Cook County Forest Preserves, for the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials and Lead Based Paint. These materials need to be tested for prior to any improvements to existing buildings or prior to any structures being demolished.
