Summary: A time extension is needed due to permitting delays and a contract increase is needed to allow for unforeseen additional repair work and potential increased material cost at Midlothian Meadows, Whistler Woods and Tampier Lake dam. The current authorized contingency amount has already been largely depleted on additional work that was already completed at Dan Ryan Woods, Joe Orr Woods and Wampum Lake. The project was originally approved by the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners on 7/1/2025 (Board Item No. 25-0219).
