Summary: The Department of Facilities and Fleet received permission from the Vehicle Steering Committee on 5/12/2026 to purchase as new or replacement vehicles eleven (11) 2027 Freightliner Chassis as listed below:

 

                     Four (4) 2027 Freightliner 108SD Plus Chassis with Loadmaster Enviromaster 20 Cubic Yard Split Refuse Body Trucks,

                     Six (6) 2027 Freightliner 108SD Plus Chassis with Gladiator Dump Body, and

                     One (1) 2027 Freightliner 108SD Plus Chassis with Palfinger MA13A98 LogLoader. 

 

The proposed purchases are based on Sourcewell Contract #032824-DAI with Daimler Trucks North America, with fulfillment by authorized local dealer Patson, Inc., D/B/A TransChicago Truck Group.

 

The units will be assigned as follows: seven (7) units to the Department of Resource Management and four (4) units to the Department of Landscape Maintenance.
