PROPOSED LICENSE REQUEST
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County ("the Preserves"), to grant a License to The Village of River Forest, Illinois (the"Village") to locate, operate and maintain a storm sewer outfall structure on the east bank of the Des Plaines River, adjacent to Thatcher Avenue approximately 400 feet south of North Avenue. The Village plans to construct a large scale sewer separation project in the adjacent neighborhood to reduce flooding in the area and to improve water quality in the FPCC and Des Plaines River by reducing combined sewer overflow discharges. The Village will also stabilize and replant the bank area at the outfall.
