Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with AGAE Contractors, Inc., primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for shelter repairs at Busse Woods Groves #17, #18 and #24 near Elk Grove Village, Schiller Woods East Grove #14 in Chicago and Brezina Woods Grove #2 in La Grange Park.
Reason: Contract #74000008255 issued under Solicitation #20-80-005771, Project #20-80-19 Shelter Repairs at Various Locations, includes painting, selective replacement or patching of roof decking and roof covering and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. Repairs to shelters at Busse Woods would be partially funded by a grant from Nicor Gas relating to a 2019 license for pipeline relocation (Board Item 19-0284).
