Summary: The Chicago Conservation Leadership Corps program engages high-school aged youth and adult leaders in hands-on ecological restoration activities, including invasive species control through various removal methods. The program is an intensive six week internship that promotes stewardship of natural lands by the next generation of conservation leaders through ecologically based educational activities, conservation awareness, hands-on restoration, and enjoyment of the Preserves. The original three (3)year contract was approved by the Board on 2/18/2014 and expires 12/31/2016. The Preserves would like to extend Contract #13-31-118 for an additional twelve (12) months. A new RFQ will be issued in the third quarter of 2017.
