PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Great Lakes Landscape Company, primary place of business Bartlett, Illinois, for Maywood Grove Canoe and Kayak Launch and Pavement Improvements in Maywood, Illinois.
Reason: Contract #74000016420 issued under Solicitation #25-80-012318 for Project #23-80-25-25C1, Maywood Grove Canoe and Kayak Launch and Pavement Improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to, pavement resurfacing, paved trail construction, ADA sidewalk upgrades, canoe and kayak launch installation and associated landscaping, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. Work is funded in part through an $80,000.00 Boating Area Access Development (BAAD) grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (Board Item No. 24-0120).
