Summary: On November 14, 2023, the Board of Commissioners approved the use of the firms listed above for outside legal counsel services for a three-year period, subject to two (2) one-year renewal options. The specified law firms were selected through the Forest Preserves’ Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process in response to RFQ No. 23-60-009615. The Forest Preserves’ now requests authorization to execute the renewal options.

 

Legal services are to be performed upon request of the Forest Preserves on an engagement-by-engagement basis, subject to a continued retention letter and engagement agreement by the Forest Preserves’ Legal Department. Continuation in pool is subject to continued compliance with Procurement Code requirements for vendors. Legal fees for authorized work are subject to Title 1, Chapter 19 of the Forest Preserves of Cook County Code of Ordinances and approval by the Forest Preserves’ Finance Subcommittee on Litigation and Board of Commissioners.
