Summary: In 2023, the Forest Preserves, pursuant to an RFP, entered into a contract with AQL, the vendor, to enhance and optimize our existing SharePoint environment for improved interaction between Legal, Purchasing and other user departments. This environment included our dashboards, sites, subsites, pages, lists, libraries, permissions, flows, Power Automate and Power Apps as well as integration with other aspects of Microsoft Office 365. AQL developed the Legal Request Dashboard to handle a variety of requests via automated flows to create a central intake system, reduce duplication, email stakeholders, create/move folders, upload documents, approve/reject requests, etc. The process incorporates numerous inter-departmental communications automatically exchanged via SharePoint. It streamlines the current processes making the Forest Preserves more efficient and effective.
The Forest Preserves would like to continue to use AQL via a new sole source contract to: 1) assist with any modifications to current functions handled via SharePoint; and 2) automate more functions via SharePoint, including, without limitation, certain HR and administrative functions. Thus, the Forest Preserves seeks to continue to use AQL to increase the Forest Preserves’ efficiency and effectiveness with respect to internal processes.
