Summary: The Forest Preserves currently owns and maintains a dozen underground fuel storage tanks at seven facilities that may require removal or replacement. The tank locations include four (4) golf courses (Billy Caldwell, Edgebrook, George Dunne and River Oaks) and three (3) maintenance facilities (Calumet Landscape Maintenance Headquarters, Indian Boundary Landscape Maintenance Headquarters and Tinley Creek Resource Management Headquarters). The proposed consultant scope includes regulatory analysis and recommendations for non-conforming systems; development of plans, specifications and construction documents for upgrades to selective existing systems; and construction oversight services. Actual construction work will be awarded through one (1) or more separate contracts.
Environmental Design International, Inc., was chosen by a selection committee, staff of the Departments of Planning and Development and Facilities and Fleet Management, in response to a qualification-based selection process (RFP 23-80-20R). Three (3) firms submitted proposals in response to the RFP.
