Summary: The Forest Preserves issued a Request for Proposals seeking contractors to perform comprehensive tree planting and landscape maintenance services, including but not limited to: tree planting, trail maintenance and repair, turf restoration, irrigation and drainage system consultation, installation and maintenance of landscaping, landscape consultation and design, and procurement and delivery of landscape materials throughout the Forest Preserves.
Due to receiving only a single response to the initial public solicitation, the Request for Proposals was subsequently reissued in order to expand the list of qualified respondents. Two (2) firms submitted proposals in response to the RFP. A selection committee reviewed the proposals and both vendors were initially selected based on their qualifications to perform services under this contract. However, the other selected vendor was determined to be non-compliant with minority- and women-owned business enterprise ordinance provisions and their proposal was withdrawn. Therefore, the Forest Preserves is proceeding with award of the contract to Atrium, Inc. as the sole vendor. end
