Summary: Additional money is required to complete Contract 16-80-43-R due to the discovery of a previously unknown presence of iron bacteria, associated re-design and re-permitting to add pre-treatment systems to address the bacteria and other utility-related design revisions. Work undertaken by this contract will improve the taste and color of the well water at the above mentioned locations and extend the life of pipes and plumbing fixtures. The work includes furnishing and installing reverse osmosis filtration systems as well as the construction and modification of certain buildings to accommodate these systems.
