Summary: On February 5, 2026, the Cook County Board of Commissioners approved a contract with the proposed vendor for insurance brokerage services across various lines of commercial insurance coverage, including property insurance on behalf of Cook County and the George W. Dunne Administration Building (the “County Contract”). The County Contract was awarded through a publicly advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. The RFP also included a request for insurance brokerage services for property insurance for the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
Pursuant to the RFP referenced above, the Forest Preserves would like to piggyback off the County Contract for property insurance at select locations. The value is a not-to-exceed amount inclusive of annual broker fees and estimated insurance premiums based on current exposure and loss information. The Forest Preserves is self-insured against all other types of losses, including general liability and workers compensation.
