TO AUTHORIZE THE FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF COOK COUNTY TO ENTER INTO A LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT FOR THE NORTH BRANCH BICYCLE TRAIL-SOUTHERN EXTENSION
WHEREAS the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the “Preserves”) has sought, and been awarded, funds from the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Grant (“CMAQ Grant”), a federally-funded program administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation (“IDOT”) that supports surface transportation projects and other related efforts that contribute air quality improvements and provide congestion relief, to facilitate the construction of 2.96 miles of the North Branch Bicycle Trail-Southern Extension;
WHEREAS, “IDOT” requires a resolution to reaffirm the Preserve’s funding commitment for Phase III (construction supervision) and construction costs associated with the project as per the Local Agency Agreement;
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Agreement also provides for the division of Phase III and Construction costs for the Project and payment of 20% of the construction cost by the Preserves, as the Local Agenc | approve | Pass |
