Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT, SALARY SCHEDULE AND WAGE ADJUSTMENTS WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Employee Labor Relations Act (5 ILCS 315/1 et seq.) has established regulations regarding collective bargaining with a union; and WHEREAS, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the “Preserves”) recently received an interest arbitration award, pursuant to Section 14 of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, 5 ILCS 315/14, with respect to the wages for the police sergeants of the Preserves Police Department, all of whom are members of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council (Sergeants) collective bargaining unit; and WHEREAS, the aforementioned interest arbitration award incorporated all tentative agreements between the Preserves and the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council (Sergeants) which include, but are not limited to, healthcare revisions and other terms and conditions of employment, for the period of January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2017; and WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of the aforementioned interest
