IN MEMORY OF CONRAD DRUST  

WHEREAS, Almighty God in his infinite wisdom has called Conrad Drust from our midst, and 

WHEREAS, Mr. Conrad Drust was born into life on July 6, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Drust was a life- long Cook County resident, an avid outdoorsman with a passion that carried over from his personal life into his professional life; and

WHEREAS,  he served the district in many capacities including as an instructor for the District’s Outdoor Education Teacher Workshops at what was then called Camp Sagawau, which is where he met his wife Patricia; and

WHEREAS, they married on October 19, 1968, together they had two children and he was a proud grandfather of three grandchildren; 

WHEREAS, Mr. Drust was a 41 year employee of the Cook County Forest Preserve District, he began his career at the CCFPD as a Naturalist Aide at the River Trail Nature Center, in 1965 he became a full time naturalist, throughout his career he contributed to the growth and development of the District’s educational programming; and
